SUMMARY:Healing of the Heart: Concepts of the Mind\, The Mirror Catcher Series /Sanación del Corazón: Conceptos de la Mente\, La Serie de la Cazadora de Espejos
DESCRIPTION:Healing of the Heart: Concepts of the Mind\, The Mirror Catcher Series\nA Raíces de la Tierra Workshop at Friends Farm\nFacilitated by Eveímaí · Beyond Your Impossible \n\nDescripción en español a continuación — por favor desplácese hacia abajo \nThis is an invitation into something ancient and something necessary. \nJoin Eveímaí of Beyond Your Impossible for a 3–4 hour experiential workshop rooted in the Indigenous epistemologies of the Valley of Mexico — drawing from the wisdom of the Four Directional Patterns of the Internal Reflectors and the ceremonial energy of Ochpaniztli\, the Sweeping of the Pathways. Through somatic awareness\, reflective dialogue\, and earth-based practice\, we will explore how emotional\, mental\, cultural\, and social patterns shape both individual experience and collective life. \nThis workshop is not a lecture. It is an embodied journey — into yourself\, into your culture\, and into the land beneath your feet. \n\nYour Facilitator \nEveímaí supports individuals along their pathways of spiritual and personal empowerment\, guiding them to utilize their own sacred wisdom and intuition to meet their goals and Go Beyond Their Impossible. Through integrative and interactive workshops\, one-on-one sessions\, retreats\, and more\, she leads participants back to self\, to ultimate inner growth\, and to applying their own ancient compass of knowing to modern life — designing their own destiny where everything becomes possible. She brings to this work a rich personal\, cultural\, educational\, and spiritual background that lives in everything she offers. \n\nWorkshop Flow \n🌿 Arrival & Welcome Circle\nWe open with handshakes and hellos\, gathering in a circle. Come as you are — bring whatever helps you feel comfortable: a yoga mat\, pillows\, blankets\, or anything that helps you settle in. (Comfort items available for those who need them.) \nEveímaí introduces herself and the elements\, offering gratitude to the directions\, the land\, and all the people and forces that made this space possible. A brief orientation sets the tone for what’s ahead. \n🌿 Opening Nepantla Meditation\nWe step directly into a guided meditation rooted in nepantla — the Mexika/Toltek concept of the in-between space where transformation lives. (Soft background music will accompany this portion of the workshop.) \nFrom here we open into the directional mirrors: how we are shaped by them\, and how we can move through them toward healing. The floor opens for reflection and discussion. \n🌿 Sweeping of the Pathways & Cleansing Rains of Ochpaniztli\nEveímaí describes the ceremonial components of the Sweeping of the Pathways and the Altars of Self — a practice of clearing what blocks our inner pathways — followed by the symbolic Cleansing Rain Waters of Ochpaniztli. This section closes with an Integrating Nepantla Meditation to weave the teachings into the body. \n🌿 Walking Meditation on the Land\nWe move outside for a mostly silent walking meditation through the farm — open to light conversation as it arises. Participants are invited to notice the land\, the plants\, and whatever surfaces within them. \nThe walk winds down as each person finds an area of plants that calls to them. Here participants sit with the plants\, connect\, clear any debris and weeds from around them as a metaphor for clearing their own inner pathways\, and journal any insights that arrive. \nAs participants settle into this reflective practice\, each person receives an individual copal smudge clearing — a somatic grounding and an invitation to come back to self. \n🌿 Closing Circle\nWe gather back together. Participants are invited to share any insights or highlights from the experience — and silence is equally honored. \nWe close standing in a circle\, hands on each other’s shoulders\, singing a closing song of the elemental energies of the moment. The workshop ends as it began — with handshakes\, gratitude\, and the warmth of community. \n\nWhat to Bring \nBring whatever helps you feel comfortable — a yoga mat\, blanket\, pillows\, or cushion. Comfort items are available on-site if needed. Wear clothes you can move and sit in outdoors. \n\nDetails \n\nDate: Saturday\, September 27\nTime: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nLocation: Friends Farm · Lafayette\, CO (on traditional Arapaho\, Cheyenne\, and Ute territories)\nCost: Free · Donations warmly welcomed\nLanguage: Bilingual — English & Español\nFacilitated by: Eveímaí · Beyond Your Impossible\n\nRegister / Más información: friendsfarm.org/events\nQuestions: oliver.aurand@gmail.com · 757-971-3416 \n\nThis event is part of Raíces de la Tierra — Roots of the Earth — a bilingual community program at Friends Farm running June through September 2026. SUMMARY:Mexican Meets Western Herbalism
DESCRIPTION:Explore the meeting place between Mexican herbal traditions and Western herbalism. Drawing from Mexican folk medicine\, curanderismo\, and Western clinical herbalism\, we’ll explore how plants have long been understood as practical medicines as well as part of a larger relationship between people\, place\, food\, and healing. Together we’ll look at ways these traditions understand herbs differently\, as well as where they overlap. We’ll discuss traditional Mexican plants and preparations alongside Western herbal concepts such as energetics\, herbal actions\, formulation\, and the clinical use of medicinal plants. \nAbout the Herbalist\nSofia Arana-Miranda is a Certified Clinical Herbalist\, educator\, folk practitioner\, and ceremonialist whose work bridges Western clinical herbalism with Mexican plant traditions and folk medicine. Alongside her formal study\, her relationship with Mexican folk medicine is rooted in Mexica family lineage and a personal connection to the traditions of curanderismo. Her work is an ongoing exploration of how different systems of plant knowledge can be held alongside one another with context\, respect\, and curiosity. She is particularly interested in preserving the cultural roots of herbal traditions while making practical plant knowledge accessible to people today. \n  \nAll are welcome. No previous herbal experience is required. \n  \nDate: Sunday\, November 15th\nTime: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm\nLocation: Nyland Cohousing Commonhouse\, 3525 Nyland Way Lafayette\, CO 80026\nCost / Registration: Sliding Scale $25-35
